Care Experience Branch

The Care Experience branch was established to break down barriers, raise the profile of everyone who cares for care-experienced children, and create a welcoming space to explore challenges, improve services, share learning, and pool resources. Although this branch is currently inactive due to a lack of branch leadership, we are exploring opportunities to remain connected with its members.

“Trauma-informed care is fundamentally concerned with creating conditions that reduce harm and promote healing, especially in individuals who have already experienced psychological trauma. It recognises that experiencing trauma in the past can affect the ways a person perceives and responds to their environment in the present.”

–  Jo Wilton and Alec Williams, Centre for Mental Health

This branch is currently fallow.

The Care Experience Branch of the Trauma Informed Plymouth Network is currently inactive and seeking a branch lead for its renewal. If you are interested in this exciting local work, we’d love to hear from you.

Our ambition is for Plymouth to be a trauma-informed city. Our independent network is open to anyone connected with Plymouth with a desire to learn about and promote trauma informed ways of being.
